The band plays their own original songs and also plays their versions of certain songs written by other rock and blues artists. Depending on the venue they are able to adjust their repertoire to some extent, if required, to the needs of the gig. Currently the band are writing and working in the studio on new songs for their debut album, due to be finished next year.
If you like plenty of guitar in your music then you will like what John and his new band produce. Based near Newtown in mid Wales and Shropshire border, John and his band deliver a punchy combination of original material and selected cover songs given their treatment.
Our music genres are rock and blues, although John’s versatility as a songwriter can at times give a ‘passing nod’ to other genres that he has been involved in or influenced by,over time. Having written and produced over 7 albums with his previous band ‘Beats Working’ there are occasions when the band perform a song or two of theirs as well!
In the past and when he started off playing in the music business, John had a band called ‘Sunfighter’ with EMI which ‘launched’ his career so to speak ,and showed him how lost the music can really become when left floating amongst the corporate mass of the musical giants. He gained several years of good learning experience from this period having written the songs and worked with many talented musicians of the time. Now the music of his new ‘solo’ John Hardman Band is boss and runs the show.
